Virtual Training Available

1. Workplace Training (CPD Workshop)

2 hour session

Creating Inclusive, Breastfeeding-Friendly Workplaces

Training for HR leaders and managers supporting breastfeeding employees. A CPD accredited training session for HR professionals, managers and teams designed to improve their understanding and confidence in supporting breastfeeding employees.

📌 Includes:

• Legal responsibilities and workplace obligations

• Supporting breastfeeding employees on their return to work

• Practical workplace adjustments (breaks, expressing, storage)

• Managing sensitive conversations

• Real workplace scenarios

• CPD certification

💰 Price:

• Minimum price is £1,250 (price is same for 1 or 10 participants – max 10 participants)

• Additional participants: £100 per person (up to max 25 participants)

• Larger group sessions available on request.

• For larger organisations, training can be delivered across multiple sessions or departments to ensure consistent & high-quality learning.

2. Employee Breastfeeding Support & Returning to Work Package

1-1, bespoke breastfeeding support that enables employees to achieve their breastfeeding goals alongside their professional responsibilities.

Suitable for employees that would like to continue to breastfeed, express in the workplace or wean safely in a way that supports parents when they return to work.

✓ Pre-return session (90 mins) – planning return to work

✓ Post-return session (40 mins) – real-world workplace support

📌 Outcome:

Employees feel confident, supported, and are able to continue to meet their breastfeeding goals.

Price: £300 per employee

How it works

1. CPD Training Package (standalone)

Organisations can book CPD training on its own as a standalone workshop for HR teams and managers.

2. CPD Training + Employee Support

This option includes CPD training plus additional confidential breastfeeding support for employees returning to work.

⚠️ The employee support package is only available if the organisation has previously attended The Breastfeeding Support Consultancy’s CPD training workshop.

How employee support works

Each session is tailored to individual needs and are fully confidential. A session refers to a scheduled 1-1 appointment delivered via Zoom or telephone call with the first session ideally being 4-6 weeks prior to return to work.

Once the organisation has agreed to the package and payment arrangements, employees can contact and book confidential support directly. The sessions help employees feel prepared, confident and supported as they balance feeding goals with professional life.

📋 Pre-Return to Work Session (1.5 hour) — Planning the Transition

This session supports the transition back to work, helping to create a realistic and personalised plan.

• Individual return-to-work breastfeeding plan

• Expressing at work: timing, frequency and practical routines

• Understanding milk storage and handling in workplace settings

• Workplace preparation

• Planning feeds around working hours and separation from baby

• Problem-solving common barriers

• Confidence-building for the transition period

• Support and advice in navigating conversations with HR and managers to help secure appropriate workplace support and adjustments when returning to work

✅ Outcome: Employees have a clear, practical plan for combining breastfeeding or expressing with working life or are supported when weaning in a safe and healthy way.

📋 Post-Return Session (40 mins) — Real-World Support

This session provides tailored support once you are back at work and managing breastfeeding in real time. It is scheduled for 1 to 2 weeks after returning to work.

• Review of how your return to work is going and advice on requesting further support if needed

• Adjusting expressing or feeding routines based on real experience

• Troubleshooting supply, comfort or logistics challenges

• Support with maintaining milk supply

• Managing fatigue, emotional wellbeing and confidence
